First Tee Junior Golf Tour Mission:

To provide a relaxed and fun competitive golf experience. Our tour is a platform for any junior golfer to gain knowledge of the rules, the etiquette of the game, pace of play, and engage in tournament golf. First and foremost, we want the junior golfers to have fun on the golf course. First Tee Junior Golf Tour will prepare the players to play competitive golf, enable a smooth transition to the next level and create lifetime golfers.

“When I retired in 2015, I was searching for ways to spend my free time, and I had seen a segment on a televised golf event about the First Tee program. I have played golf and worked at golf courses since I was 12 years old and have always enjoyed interacting with kids, so First Tee seemed like a good fit. I have been volunteering two to three times a week for First Tee for over 10 years now, and I’ve found it to be not only very rewarding but also a great way to stay in touch with today’s kids—their likes, interests, problems, concerns, etc. There is no greater pleasure than getting a fist bump from a First Tee participant after helping them hit a good shot, or receiving thanks from the parent of a participant for assisting or just paying attention to their child. My First Tee involvement has helped me stay physically active, refreshed, and mentally young.”
