Madi Smith Attends the Game Changers Academy

Our participant, Madi Smith, had the amazing opportunity to attend the First Tee Game Changers Academy in Minnesota. This five-day learning and empowerment experience selects teens from across the U.S. to engage in meaningful discussions on self-awareness, inclusive leadership, and community building – skills they will carry with them throughout their lives. Here is what Madi had to say about her time at the academy:

“Attending the First Tee Game Changers Academy in Minnesota was an unforgettable experience! On the first day, everyone was so welcoming, and it was easy to make new friends right away. Day two was spent golfing at Eagle Lake Golf Course, where I had so much fun getting to know my group better, and that evening we heard an inspiring message from Olympic bronze medalist Kellie Wells Brinkley at Target Center about leadership and perseverance.

On day three, we had the opportunity to play Interlachen Country Club, which was an amazing experience. My favorite day was definitely day four when we attended the 3M Open clinic and Golf4All event, got to see Scottie Scheffler in person, and ended the day at Topgolf, which was by far the most fun I had all week. The academy gave me lifelong memories, new friendships, and experiences I’ll never forget.”
